Plumbing Fixtures
Plumbing fixtures are a common feature in every household. Sinks, tubs, faucets, toilets and showers are typical examples.
Besides their obvious functionality, fixtures play an important role in the plumbing mechanism.
Plumbing problems sometimes stem from leaky or overflowing fixtures. Our professional plumbers can repair existing fixtures and install new ones.
What are Fixtures?
Your home has two separate plumbing systems running through it. The first brings fresh water into your house. The second removes wastewater through the
drainage system. Fixtures are in fact a bridging element between these two systems: on the one hand, pipes carrying fresh water lead to all fixtures; at the
same times, drainpipes lead wastewater away from them. The fixtures constitute the "final stop" for the water supply pipes, and are the "first stop" for the drainpipes, as
they begin their way towards sewage facilities. A hot water line carries heated water from the heater to all fixtures and other relevant appliances.
Fixtures Traps
Attached to each fixture, either externally or internally, is an essential feature known as trap. The trap is
basically the curved section of the drainpipe which prevents sewer gases and unpleasant odors from permeating your house.
Plumbing Expert Tip
Remember that your toilet is not a trash can. Flush only dissolvable items. In case of a flooding or a leak originating in any of your fixtures, check whether there's a shutoff
valve next to the fixture itself, and turn it off.
Decorative Fixtures
Alongside their technical function, fixtures can be highly aesthetic and decorative objects. You can order beautifully designed bathtubs, sinks and faucets from plumbing fixtures manufacturers. You can even order the
fixtures online, and have them delivered to you. In places of business, you may opt to install sensor operated plumbing fixtures such as toilets and faucets, which are more hygienic and economical.
